What kind of photos do you need to paint my home?

Usually the best photos are in good light, and with a clear view of the front door as a focal point, if possible. Photos taken with your phone are usually just fine!

Can you work from old photos? 

Yes! I often will need a better description of the colors as old photos can be quite distorted, but most of the time I can make an old photo a basis for a beautiful watercolor painting.
